The Merryweather Heist
Lester plans a mid-game score against Merryweather Security with Freighter or Offshore approaches that change scouting, equipment, and the finale location.
Overview
The Merryweather Heist targets experimental hardware held by Merryweather Security. Players choose Freighter or Offshore on Lester's planning screen. The Freighter path uses port scouting and dockside infiltration of a cargo ship at Elysian Island. The Offshore path requires the Minisub setup and an underwater recovery near the coast. Gunman and pilot crew choices affect combat and extraction during the finale. Both routes end with a hostile Merryweather response and a contested escape. Approach and crew selections made on Lester's planning board determine which preparation missions were required and how allies behave during combat. The planning screen shows gunman, driver, and hacker options with cost and skill ratings before the player commits. Walkthrough
Freighter approach finale: 1. Approach the Merryweather freighter at the port. 2. Board the vessel and fight security teams. 3. Locate and extract the target container or device. 4. Escape the port under pursuit. Offshore approach finale: 1. Deploy the stolen submersible near the offshore site. 2. Navigate underwater to the Merryweather hardware. 3. Attach recovery lines or complete the extraction minigame. 4. Surface and escape with helicopter or boat support.
Fail Conditions
The heist fails if protagonists die, if the extraction vehicle (sub, helicopter, or boat) is destroyed prematurely, if the target device is lost, or if crew members die based on hired support quality.
