The Long Stretch
Franklin, Lamar, and Stretch attend a drug deal in a Davis garage that turns into an ambush, exposing Stretch as an unreliable contact.
Overview
The Long Stretch is a Franklin Clinton mission built around a street deal organized with Lamar Davis and Stretch in a Davis garage. Ballas gunmen and LSPD units converge on the location, turning a simple purchase into a sustained firefight through the garage and adjoining streets. Franklin and Lamar fight their way out while Stretch's loyalty is called into question for the first time. The mission follows Friend Request and sets up Hood Safari once Trevor Philips is available.
Walkthrough
1. Meet Lamar and Stretch at the agreed Davis location. 2. Enter the garage for the drug transaction. 3. Survive the ambush when Ballas gunmen attack the deal. 4. Fight through the garage interior and out to the street. 5. Clear pursuing enemies while moving toward the exit route. 6. Escape the area with Lamar to complete the mission. Tactical note: Stretch hangs back during combat. Focus fire on Ballas shooters on the garage roof before pushing into the street where police cruisers arrive.
Fail Conditions
The mission fails if Franklin dies, if Lamar dies during the escape segment, or if the player leaves the combat zone before the exit objective is satisfied.
Aftermath
The Long Stretch unlocks Hood Safari and plants Stretch's betrayal arc that culminates in Lamar Down. Franklin's South Los Santos connections deepen ahead of the first Lester-planned heist.
