Overview
Monkey Business is an FIB-directed raid on a coastal freighter linked to Humane Labs research. Steve Haines orders Michael De Santa, Franklin Clinton, and Trevor Philips to recover a chemical container and extract scientist Dr. Chang as a witness. The mission mixes shipboard combat with a timed escape as military aircraft approach the vessel. It increases Michael's obligation to federal handlers and sets up the interrogation mission By the Book at the Blaine County safehouse.
Walkthrough
1. Approach the target freighter by boat from the coastal staging point. 2. Board the vessel and fight Merryweather and lab security on deck. 3. Descend into the hold and locate the chemical container. 4. Find Dr. Chang and begin the escort toward the extraction boat. 5. Fight back to the boarding point while air support approaches. 6. Escape the ship before the strike aircraft destroy the route. Tactical note: Clear the upper deck snipers before descending into the hold. Keep Dr. Chang between protagonists during the return climb to reduce stray fire damage.
Fail Conditions
The mission fails if all protagonists die, if Dr. Chang dies before extraction, if the chemical sample is lost, or if the escape window closes before leaving the vessel.
Aftermath
Monkey Business unlocks By the Book and advances Bureau Raid planning. The stolen research material deepens the Humane Labs conspiracy thread that runs through the FIB and IAA conflict.
