Michael races across the city under time pressure to defend his family while the screening cutscene plays out. The episode connects Michael's Hollywood storyline to the broader Merryweather and federal conflicts that dominate the late game.
Walkthrough
1. Attend the Meltdown premiere event downtown with the family. 2. Watch the screening cutscene inside the theater. 3. Receive the alert that mercenaries are attacking the De Santa home. 4. Drive back to Rockford Hills before the timer expires. 5. Fight Merryweather operatives on the mansion grounds. 6. Clear the property and secure Amanda, Jimmy, and Tracey. Tactical note: Choose a fast four-door car at the premiere exit for stable high-speed driving. Use Michael's bullet time while clearing the driveway ambush.
Fail Conditions
The mission fails if Michael dies en route or at the house, or if too much time passes before he reaches the De Santa residence.
Aftermath
Meltdown unlocks Legal Trouble and pushes Devin Weston's leverage over Michael to the forefront. The home invasion confirms Merryweather as an active threat and motivates the Union Depository score.
