Knife Flights
Aerial stunt challenge flying between paired checkpoints in GTA V freeroam.
Overview
Knife Flights are aerial stunt gates scattered across San Andreas in GTA V. Each Knife Flight consists of two tight checkpoints that aircraft must pass through in sequence. Completing every Knife Flight registers in Game stats and contributes toward 100% completion alongside Under the Bridge and Wildlife Photography. Mission progress saves at most checkpoints in supported titles, and the pause-map legend continues to display active objectives while players manage wanted levels or switch protagonists when the strand allows.
Walkthrough
1. Obtain a nimble aircraft such as a stunt plane or helicopter. 2. Locate uncompleted Knife Flight markers shown on the in-game map when nearby. 3. Align with the first gate and accelerate through both checkpoints without touching terrain. 4. Retry difficult mountain flights from higher altitude approaches. 5. Track progress in the pause menu until all Knife Flights register complete. 6. Review the mission summary on the results screen for payout totals, respect changes, or unlock notifications before returning to freeroam.
Fail Conditions
Missing either checkpoint or crashing before the second gate does not award completion. High winds and turbulence near mountains increase difficulty.
Trivia
Knife Flights reward precision flying skills learned in Flight School. They are visible on the map only when the player is in an aircraft nearby. Rockstar documents these beats in the retail mission text, phone scripts, and pause-menu checklist where applicable.
