Overview
Hood Safari sends Franklin Clinton and Trevor Philips with Lamar Davis on a street-level drug purchase in Ballas-controlled Chamberlain Hills. Lamar frames the trip as a neighborhood tour, but the deal collapses when Ballas gunmen ambush the group and police respond to the gunfire. Franklin and Trevor must cover Lamar during a fighting retreat through Davis and surrounding streets. The mission is an early crossover between Franklin's South Los Santos arc and Trevor's tendency to escalate routine work into citywide chaos.
Walkthrough
1. Meet Lamar with Franklin and Trevor at the starting location. 2. Drive into Ballas territory for the arranged purchase. 3. Defend the group when the ambush begins at the deal site. 4. Escort Lamar through hostile streets under fire from Ballas and police. 5. Reach the standoff where Trevor and Franklin aim at rival targets. 6. Resolve the confrontation and deliver Lamar to his safe point. Tactical note: Keep Lamar alive by clearing shooters ahead of him during the retreat. Use alleyways to break police line of sight when the wanted level rises.
Fail Conditions
The mission fails if Franklin, Trevor, or Lamar dies, or if the escort objective is abandoned before Lamar reaches the safe location.
Aftermath
Hood Safari unlocks Fame or Shame and keeps Stretch's unreliable deals relevant to later betrayal plotlines. Trevor's presence in Franklin's neighborhood permanently links the Blaine County and Los Santos storylines.
