Deathmatch (GTA IV Online)

Standard and team deathmatch adversarial modes in GTA IV Online.

Overview

Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch are core GTA IV Online adversarial modes. Players fight to a kill limit or timer in map arenas selected from the lobby. Weapon pickups and spawn points are part of each map’s fixed layout in the retail client. Confirm rules, team sizes, and payouts in the retail GTA IV Online lobby UI before hosting a match. Primary sources are the in-game mode list, pre-match options screen, and on-screen objectives rather than third-party checklists.

Rules

Scoreboard, team assignment, and weapon spawns follow the selected lobby options. Team Deathmatch splits players into opposing sides; free-for-all Deathmatch scores individual kills. Hosts can adjust player counts and time limits before launch. Confirm rules, team sizes, and payouts in the retail GTA IV Online lobby UI before hosting a match.
