Overview
Complications is the mission where Franklin Clinton first encounters Michael De Santa. Simeon Yetarian orders recovery of a bicycle from a wealthy buyer in Rockford Hills, which turns out to belong to Jimmy De Santa at the family mansion. Jimmy flees on the bike, and Franklin chases him through the estate grounds before Michael intervenes at the garage. The encounter ends Simeon's hold over Franklin and opens Michael's storyline as Franklin's primary contact instead of the dealership repo chain.
Walkthrough
1. Travel to the De Santa mansion in Rockford Hills on Simeon's order. 2. Locate Jimmy De Santa and begin the bicycle chase on the property. 3. Follow Jimmy through the estate gardens and driveway loops. 4. Continue the pursuit until Michael appears at the garage. 5. Complete the scripted confrontation between Franklin, Jimmy, and Michael. 6. Accept Michael's payment that releases Franklin from Simeon's repo obligation. Tactical note: The estate chase is confined to the mansion grounds. Use the paved loops to cut angles on Jimmy rather than cutting across lawns where the bicycle slows.
Fail Conditions
The mission fails if Franklin dies during the chase or if the player abandons the mission area before the garage confrontation with Michael concludes.
Aftermath
Complications unlocks Father/Son and ends Franklin's Premium Deluxe Motorsport repo chain. Michael becomes Franklin's main story contact, linking South Los Santos street work to the De Santa family arc in Rockford Hills.
