Preparation mission for the Loud Jewel Store approach in which the crew ambushes an LSPD weapon convoy to secure carbines for the Vangelico robbery.
Overview
Carbine Rifles is mandatory setup for the Loud approach on The Jewel Store Job. Michael intercepts a police transport carrying carbines and assault rifles intended for the store assault. The mission uses highway pursuit and convoy interception mechanics that return in later heist preparations. Completing it marks the Loud equipment track as ready on Lester's planning board. Progress is tracked on Lester Crest's planning board at the garment factory hideout. The equipment or intelligence gathered here is referenced again during the finale briefing. Setup missions do not pay separate completion bonuses; earnings are bundled into the heist payout when the score succeeds. Players may complete preparations in any order allowed by approach selection, but the finale remains locked until all required icons for that path are marked ready on the planning screen.
Walkthrough
1. Travel to the ambush point on the highway. 2. Stop or disable the lead police vehicles in the convoy. 3. Fight officers guarding the weapon truck. 4. Steal the carbine rifles from the transport. 5. Deliver the weapons to the crew stash to finish setup.
Fail Conditions
Failure occurs if Michael dies, if the weapon truck is destroyed before rifles are collected, or if the delivery objective is not completed.
