Overview
Caída Libre is Martin Madrazo's retaliation job after Michael De Santa and Franklin Clinton destroyed property during the Marriage Counseling chase. Madrazo orders Michael and Trevor Philips to demolish a hillside compound at La Fuente Blanca belonging to his cousin Javier and then shoot down Javier's fleeing plane. Patricia Madrazo pilots the initial helicopter assault while the protagonists use mounted weapons. The mission pairs ground destruction with anti-air combat and shows Michael and Trevor cooperating under cartel pressure before their relationship fractures again.
Walkthrough
1. Meet Martin Madrazo and receive the La Fuente Blanca target. 2. Board the helicopter and fly to Javier's hillside estate. 3. Destroy the compound structures with the mounted minigun. 4. Chase Javier's plane as it takes off from the property. 5. Shoot down the aircraft before it leaves the mission airspace. 6. Complete the landing sequence to satisfy Madrazo's demand. Tactical note: Focus fire on the plane's engines during the pursuit. Lead your shots while the target banks over the countryside.
Fail Conditions
The mission fails if Michael or Trevor dies, if Javier's plane escapes the designated airspace, or if required property destruction objectives are not completed.
Aftermath
Caída Libre temporarily satisfies Madrazo's debt from Marriage Counseling and unlocks Blitz Play and further heist planning. The Madrazo family remains tied to Trevor through Patricia and resurfaces during Predator and later story beats.
